The 4.5-pound laptop still has a 14-inch, 1366 x 768 display, but it now comes with a brushed aluminum or steel gray finish, a subwoofer, and an optional backlit keyboard. The new dm4 is a small upgrade in terms of specs to the existing dm4, but there are some significant exterior changes. HP's high-end Envy and Folio 13 laptops may be the stars of today's launch, but the company's not forgetting about the budget-conscious - it's also launching the $630 Pavilion dm4, a mid-range laptop for the average Joe.
