![]() At that time, Bethesda promised and delivered Xbox One mod support in May 2016, saying PlayStation 4 mod support would arrive in June 2016. Mods first officially came to the PC version of Fallout 4 after the Creation Kit launch on April 26, 2016. In an official update provided on Bethesda’s website, it states, “After months of discussion with Sony, we regret to say that while we have long been ready to offer mod support on PlayStation 4, Sony has informed us they will not approve user mods the way they should work: where users can do anything they want for either Fallout 4 or Skyrim Special Edition.” The developer has promised to issue an update if anything should happen that would allow mod support to come to Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. The PlayStation 4 versions of both Fallout 4 and The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim will not be supporting mods.
